A few months ago I downloaded the demo version of Grid Pro vers 1.0.2 to see if it was worth buying and have been playing with it as a novice.
Last week I went to purchase a copy as I was intending to do my first discreet public outing with the program in late May but notice that the VDMX beta is up and running.
I have a Power Book G4 with Panther and wont be getting a new Mac Book Pro etc until much later this year so it looks as if the new VDMX is out of the question yes?
Can I still buy a copy of Grid Pro for this gig in May and get an upgrade to the new VDMX when I have my new computer and OS?
Also just a quick question I have been finding the demo version not to be running as smoothly with video clips as I thought or is this a factor of the demo? I have been usinng JPEG clips and doing all things you have suggested in the manual - my computer's processor is 1.5GHz Power PC G4 with 1 GB DDR SDRAM memory.
A little advice to this novice as to whether I can or should continue with the purchase and also the smoothness of video playback would be grand.
thanks in anticipation
another update ... I downloaded Grid Pro vers 1.0.3 and it works much better but the question still remains can I buy it and how?
