Basically what i'm trying to do is get VDMX to play nothing when there is nothing under a trigger.
I'm trying to devise a super efficent setup for triggering 'scenes' of clips for a theatre show using a different keyboard letter for each 'scene' cue. (I say scenes here to describe a row of layers launching together in much the same way that Ableton live triggers multiple clips).
I have 4 layer's all heading out through Syphon to different mapped screens in Madmapper.
Some scenes are using all 4 layers, other's aren't.
My problem is that when I get to a scene that only uses say 3 out of 4 layers/surfaces
VDMX keeps the clip from the previous scene playing. (For example, in the uploaded image I want Layers 1,2 and 3 to play when the 'e' key is pressed but nothing in Layer 4).
Is there a way to switch the media bin so that it recognises when a layer trigger has an empty clip box and plays nothing in that layer rather than 'sticking' to the previous clip in the layer row?
Or a workaround with similiar efficiency?
I can workaround it by manually fading out the unused layers but this add up to a lot more room for human error than I am wanting to deal with in a highly cued theatre show.
Thanks in advance.
