Hello all,
Pretty new to VDMX. I am using the VDMX, most recently, as a media server for a play. There are two 8' turntables stage left and stage right with a giant RP in the middle of each of them.
We'll be switching content on each screen as backgrounds for the different scenes. The screens are not 4:3 or 16:9. They're an odd shape/ratio. I don't want VDMX to stretch or otherwise distort the image to fit the layer and was thinking that I could use an fx to adjust the image in VDMX for the screen rather than trial and error it in Photoshop, etc.
I would like to create a way of adjusting a photo/jpeg so that I can move the photo around and zoom it in and out to get the right part of the image on the oddly shaped screen. I've been able to set up the layers for the two screens. I have two bins set up for the images to be stored. What I am looking for is a way to do something similar to the way you can set up a photo for your profile on Facebook (forgive the reference). You can move it around behind a frame and zoom in and out. I would then link the values to DMX and trigger and control them from there. I got that last part covered I can manage the trigger part. I'm just not sure which fx/plugin to use, how to set them up and whether there's another set of layers to make as a mask on top? Any guidance to get me on the right track would be appreciated. I'm a bit under the gun and don't have the time to explore and stumble upon the solution.
Thanks in advance!
