Trigger multiple sources messages to an element

Hello guys,
i was wondering if it's possible to trigger the midi map of an effect for exemple :

My effect is triggered by a midi signal which correspond to a pad on my controller, then, i want this effect to be triggered by a step sequencer.
Is it possible to map this action, so that i can trigger if my effect is depending on a midi message or the step sequencer.
