Hello all,
After a lot of head scratching I come through here begging for some help
I use 8.2.2
I can't get a smooth output from VDMX, no matter what options I tick or untick.
Of course I got a beefy setup to work with (two actually) with SSD's, GTX 570, Hexa-core processor.
QTX and QT7 playback all my QTZ or AIC files without a single micro stutter, windowed and fullscreened (2560x1440).
I can play twelves files simultaneously finger in the nose. NOT A HICCUP !
But in vdmx... Maybe I'm too sensitive but I can recognize this little stutters a miles away (like in video games or with jerky camera/codec/operator whatever.) The point is I expect silky smooth playback ! (like us all no ?)
On top of that, when I use sources like LFO, clock measure etc. for modulating parameters (layer pos, QTZ inputs, video frame position...)
Boum, I got an other layer of slight jerkiness, for example the "wave" object in QTZ shows a noticeably better interpolation than the VDMX LFO.
It seems like VDMX has a timing/internal clock issue.
No problem with Adobe premiere, modul8, QT whatever...
Same with single/dual monitor, windows/fullscreened.
Same with both of my setup. (Geforce GTX for the two).
Any clue would be appreciated
Cya.
