MY question is about slowing down the rate on a video.
Firstly, I often use Quartz patches for my imagery and I have fine control over the movement. If I slow it down to a very small value it moves as seamlessly as at normal values.
However, with videos the results are obviously dissimilar. At rate values even slightly low the movement becomes noticeably choppy and at very low values it is basically unusable.
My question is therefore what method can I use to somehow interpolate the missing frames when I drop the rate? Is there some sort of motion blending plugin, can i use after effects, can i use a quartz composer patch? The interpolation could be adding frames that fade the opacities of 2 frames to make them 10 frames. I'm not very knowledgeable about what this entails but that would make the movement much smoother.
Thanks!
