I'm new to VDMX and I love it.
But I break my brain about the next question.
I have clips of different duration with different Chapter Markers at different times.
VDMX does see the markers. (File Inspector)
I found out that there are the two buttons Previous and Next to navigate to the Time Markers in the Movie Time Slider.
That’s nice.
But I’d like to have the ability to jump to the markers by index number. Not only the next, or the previous marker.
(for exemple pressing 1 brings me to the first marker, 2 to the second marker, etc).
I can do that for 1 clip. Select the marker in the MARKS tab of the Time Slider Ui. Set the first Marker to detect “1’, the second to detect “2” etc. And I even succeed in having a Step Sequencer as Data Source. Awesome!
But the receivers are bound to that specific Marker (time) of that specific clip.
Whatever I try (many hours now), I can’t find a way to give the Movie Time Slider the behavior/preset to have it to jump/cue to a desired Time Marker for every single clip that is loaded and for every Chapter Marker those clips have?
Can’t Markers be indexed? So that “1” will always be the first marker? And "2" the second Marker? (and “0” the beginning of the clip)?
I hope you can help me to find a solution.
I just want to cue to specific Chapter Markers in the loaded clip. Like you do with loading a clip from the Bin; jumping from one to another.
Of course I can split all clips at all markers and then bring in all those clips. But that would overcrowd my Bins and would defeat the point of having Markers in the first place.
I guess I'm on the wrong track somehow, but, hey, I'm a newbie.
I hope someone can at least point me in the right direction.
thanks in advance,
best
