Howdy there fellow VDMXers
I use VDMX for video mixing and DMX control, and while I love all I can do with DMX output using LFOs and step sequencers and presets and color wheels and TONS of control options and trigger methods, there's a few aspects of creating a video+light show in VDMX that are quite taxing. It'd be nice to create fixture presets and auto dmx addressing for example.
I'm just wondering what other options are out there for a mac user controlling dmx fixtures. It looks to me like VDMX is the best option so far if I want to control lights on the fly, kinda following the DJs lead and being flexible enough to match their musical spontaneous creativity with a fitting visual display. I've only had a little exposure to Martin software like M-PC and dmx boards like the tiger touch, and maybe I'm biased but they don't seem as versatile as VDMX. But man is it a pain programming a light show from scratch in VDMX, making a bunch of sliders and individually setting their outputs to different channels.
Anyone out there with deep DMX knowledge?
