Live 3 City VJ Birthday Mashup By MT-VJ (Michael Parenti) at Electric Ballroom, Vienna
Put three laptops in the electric ballroom in vienna, link them to three other laptops in New York and London, synchronize it all over the internet to the drastic beats and wizardry of detroit legend carl craig, and what do you have?
Vienna's first Multi-city live audio-visual mashup.
For this event, 5 vj's will each be looping their individual style style sets remotely via the internet from America and England, using real-time network video performance software being developed by vidvox (www.vidvox.net) The remote feeds will be mixed live together with local camera feeds by MT-VJ.

This lineup is a who's who of the International VJ Scene:
johnny dekam, (dekam) david lublin, and jack turner ( together known as lmnopf) are the brains and coders behind the legendary VIDVOX professional vj performance softwares Prophet, VDMX, and GRID, as well as being sought after performance artists. The UK's #1 and #2 DJs Sasha and John Digweed needed an extraordinary live video system for their North American tour. Vidvox not only built the system and the software, but founder johnny deKam joined the tour as their VJ. *spark is the audio-visual project of digital media specialist Toby Harris, developing a/v synthesis works in the studio and playing out live experimental visuals. *spark is at the core of the 'AVIT - conferences and clubnights from the community at vjcentral' events and is a regular participant at Brighton's Laptop-Jams
addictivetv are VJs,DJ's producers and an audiovisual label releasing DVDs. http://addictive.com/dvds.php?version=html As VJs, the guys have worked with artists including Howie B, Francois K, Derrick May and 808 State, as well as Fatboy Slim. Festivals and events include Glastonbury, Les Rendez-vous Electroniques in Paris, the Love Parade in Berlin, Cybersonica at London's ICA, and on-line on the Radio One site for Pete Tong's Essential Selection.. In 1998 they produced Transambient for the UK's Channel 4; an audiovisual chillout show, comprising long-form AV blends of electronica and visuals. In 1999, under their own name, they set up a DVD label and released Transambient as the first AV album on DVD. Spaced Out, their second release, sampled and remixed NASA archives and includes original AV mixes from Coldcut, Quantic and EBN's Brian Kane. In early 2003 they performed an audiovisual 'head-to-head' in Tokyo with DJ/producer Howie B and at the VJCentral AVIT event in Chicago.
MT-VJ aka Michael Parenti, known to the viennese as the music video director UAB and for his live performances together with the vienna fashion label km/a prior to moving to istanbul two years ago, is celebrating his his 41st birthday on April 9th by doing his first electric ballroom live vj mashup.
Michael has performed once before with Carl Craig in istanbul, as well as with the mixmag rated top 100 Dj's DeepDish, Pete Tong, DJ Tiesto, Mauro Picotto, Ferry Corsten, and James Lavelle as resident vj for FG Radio. He has visually jammed alongside Sander Kleinenberg, Blake Baxter, DJT1000, Monika Kruse and Legowelt as well as for superstar JAMIROQUAI during the Midnight Sun tour in 2003.
