I am spending way too long 'housekeeping' my presets. I have one project that I use for everything, which has about 20 'full' presets in it. I generally create my presets from the same basic preset, which has layers, frequently used FX etc, most of which are midi mapped. I then modify this in various ways and save it as another preset. The logic is that every new preset created this way has the same layout and midi mappings.
The problem comes when I decide to change one of these mappings (for example the knob which controls contrast on layer 1), I have to go through every preset and change it manually. There seems to be no way around this time-consuming process (except to never change it in the first place).
Does anyone else run into this problem? I made an attempt at suggesting a possible way to manage this here: http://www.vidvox.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3773. Any thoughts/suggestions?
