Hello,
I'm trying to figure out the best workflow – I'm an animator involved in creating visuals for a big theatre performance.
The backdrop for the stage will have three screens which are butted together to give the illusion of a giant panorama. Our video operator is using VDMX and we're trying to work out the best way to do it.
Is it possible for VDMX to output to more than one monitor? Is it easy to span the video output across 3 screens?
Alternatively, we have the budget to buy more laptops so would it make sense to put VDMX on them all and create a MIDI or OSC type of sync.
One laptop to one projector where the operator controls one laptop, and the other two machines work as slaves, triggering their equivalent clips to create the giant panorama.
I'm a bit out of my depth here, as I'm a traditional After Effects guy, so any help would be great. I'm struggling to get my content the way it would work best.
Hopefully I've made some sense.
Thanks everybody.
James
