Had a gig last night for which recently i deceided to use vdmxx rather than vdmx3 for. it felt time to start using it out a bit more, so a clean install of a mini panther and many other trims as sugested by users all came a few weeks ago.
last night I seemed to suffer really bad problems with the app slowing down over time. output was generally clean and goodish frame rates but interface was absolutely shocking after about 30 mins and just got progressively worse. If i even looked at the tween buttons, it was like the app would start breaking down. Straight A to B clip mixing is fine, but if i really start using a range of the features in vdmxx it just ceases up.
last night i was so dissapointed with the way the interface was behaving, preview monitors frozen, menu drop downs having 4-5 second redraws, that i went straight home and reinsatlled 0s9 and vdmx 3 ready for my next gig considering the vdmxx version either *not ready* for me or me *not ready* for it.
i`ve been through falks optimisiation tips, tweaked and tested timing settings and everything else i can find, and not quite found the sweet spot it seems
it really fustrated me that in a real live situation where i really put the app through its paces i dont feel like i can trust the thing to deliver in a way i can use.
i also know you guys at vidvox have mentioned your working on the problem of the slowing down over time, dont know if this is the same thing?
my plan is to re go through all the optimising tips i can posibly find and hope that the lack of interface speed is just down to me not doing something right, not listening to some small piece of advice etc tec instead of it being a vdmxx probelm. ...cos i really do want to move to vdmxx but im so unsure about it....
Any thoughts on this Dave or Jack, or even Johnny?
