Hello.
I'm working on my rig currently, I'm testing and jamming on a Novation RemoteZero SL and some Korg Mini things, a slider control and some kind of drum pad thing. I'm planning out a custom MIDI controller because I can't find one that'll do what I need, and this makes me thing, how do you all work?
I have two main video layers, a foreground interactive layer which has a big Quartz patch on it, and another layer on top which has little clips which fade to nothing on it, so I can hammer a button and something grimy will happen then fade away etc.
The two main layers have effects applied, I have 12 on each layer, with 4 presets per effect to set the control to manual, audio, LFO or Sequencer. I then have master effects which effect both those layers, such as monochrome, bulge and some others, again with the 4 presets. With all this plus the 16 velocity sensitive pads I need for the Quartz patch, and the 16-32 buttons I want for my top layer, I need a massive MIDI controller or many off the shelf controllers, so maybe I'm overdoing it?
How do you all work? I'm interested
