I just came across this video and I was asking myself how the final mapping is achieved.

This is the awesome mapping - can you tell me how you would do that. You can see, he used Maya or whatever to create the renders - and then projecting one layer/his render onto the sculpture only with one input rectangle and then with mesh warp aligned to the sculpture? Is that the trick?
Guess I just explained it to myself but I am just curious if that's the whole thing - imagine an awesome shape, draw it, craft it, create 3d model // awesome animation --> project onto sculpture
I suppose there are also situations where you have to map each of the faces of the sculpture seperately, right? Although this can be depending on the amount of faces a tough one.. Also depending on the amount of interactivity you want to achieve for the individual geometry maybe?
