Hey guys -
I built a QC plugin about a year and a half ago to use in VDMX and wanted to share it with you. It's based on the work of others, I've just refined it in a simpler way to use specifically with VDMX. I'd love to hear what you guys have to say, and definitely any improvements you might see fit. Here's how it goes:
There are two versions right now:
Double Wide - 2 PJs
Triple Wide - 3 PJs
Canvas Width: the total width of your projectors, so for 3 1280x720 outputs, your canvas width would be 3840x720
Blend Width: The total size of your content after the blend, so for a 20% edge blend with 3 projectors that are 1280x720, your blend with would be 3584x720.
You need to apply the QC patch as a plugin to a layer group. In my case, I put all of my layers into one group called "Blend Group", I then set the dimensions of this group to my "blend width dimensions" as seen here.
I then set the Master Canvas dimensions to the "Canvas Width" - the width of my 3 physical projector outputs:
The plugin allows you to dial in various settings for the edge blend. The "Blend Size information" will show you what your blend sizes are. You DO need to type in the Canvas Size into the plugin - You have to tell the plugin what your total projector resolutions are, otherwise it won't work correctly.
