I'm hoping some content creators will answer this question. I have a prop that I project to. When mapping on to 3d props and if you want to move into illusion sort of effects-distorting the eyes perception of what is real and what isn't, and messing with depth perception (like seeming to project on the "inside" of the prop while there are other layers being projected on the surface of the prop)....
What software do you use?
I have the Adobe CC suite, and I'm proficient on Photoshop and I'm just starting daily practice in learning after effects. But I'm wondering if I should be trying to do the things I'm wanting to do in something like Cinema 4d?
I'm hoping to set my prop up in a program as a model that I can then create media specifically for that prop.
I projected a 1080P white photoshop image onto the prop and then traced all the edges so that I have a 2d version of the faces, but now when taking that into photoshop or after effects, I am having trouble quickly and easily creating stuff for the faces as I'm having to constantly distort, scale, and warp things to fit the faces.
I'm wondering if I just need to know more in after effects, or if this sort of thing can easily be handled in cinema 4d or something else....
Thanks for any help!
