Hey all,
One rather inconvenient consequence of a workaround to a serious bug with QC, we had to make VDMX only work with patch inputs set up with published Input Splitters. You can no longer just publish any old input to an object, you must create an Input Splitter and set a specific input type (eg. number, string, color, index, bool, image, with a range if applicable). We've been recommending that people use input splitters from the beginning, but now there is an explicit technical reason that blocks us from using directly published inputs altogether.
In the end this was a decision between adding a slight inconvenience vs improved performance and stability, and we went with the latter.
Bottom line - QC patches now must use Input Splitters for published inputs in order for them to be recognized by VDMX.
