hello guys..
i'm wondering what the option safer QC rendering does behind the scenes..
i'm having some problems with some .qtz files (quite huge.. using kineme 3d loading .daes but running fine in quartz composer..) causing flickering (picture-white-picture-white first slow then fast.. restarting of vdmx helps..) when switching presets containing certain .qtzs..
i still try to figure out what exactly causes this behaviour.. enabling vdmx's safer QC rendering option helps but also draws so much processing power that i end up with some 10fps on a mbp8.2..
so i would prefer making my .qtzs vdmx safe.. is there something like a blacklist for qtz patches/plugins? is a final RII safer than lots of consumer patches? why using sprite instead of billboard as pointed out here..

maybe there's more stuff vdmx is checking for when making QC safe?
another question regarding vdmx and quartz composer.. as mentioned before my .qtzs tend to get quite big.. that keeps vdmx freezing when switching presets or triggering clips.. will there be ever a future vdmx having a workaround for this or is it quartz composer/quicktime related? i don't mind waiting for a preset 1 minute as long as the content keeps playing..
thanks
