I have been working on making a "Ratchet" logic circuit and decided that the version I've got is ready enough for others to try and hopefully improve. My original goal was to create a mechanism that could bump a video clip's playhead forward based on audio input. This can take a relatively mundane clip and easily make it dance with the music. It is also useful for any parameters you'd like to cycle through in a rhythmic way (e.g. hue and rotation). This is similar to the +/- FFT modulation modes in Resolume, but in VDMX you can control playhead with it, and use in conjunction with other Number FX.

One thing to note, and it's something I'm considering changing, is that the post-threshold scale factor should probably be set in the 0.1 - 0.001 range depending what you're modulating. When a 0-1 slider covers a 20min video clip, for instance, you need to use a very small number to keep the movement somewhat natural.
Let me know how it works for you,
Thanks,
_Will
